Racing Extinction, a film project supported by The Baum Foundation and first premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival will be the closing night film of the San Francisco Green Film Festival, screening June 3, 2015, 8:30 pm at the Roxie Theater. From the filmmakers of the Academy Award winner, The Cove, Racing Extinction Director Louie Psihoyos brings together a team of artists and activists to expose human’s role in driving mass extinction. The film highlights the devastating international impacts of the black market wildlife trade and the disastrous role that our energy consumption plays in species loss. The Discovery Channel will broadcast Racing Extinction worldwide later this year. The San Francisco Green Film Festival screening concludes with a discussion with the Director, Louie Psihoyos and Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Obscura Digital, Travis Threlkel.
