Artist Jaimie Warren, winner of the 2014 Baum Award for Emerging Photographer and co-founder and co-director of Whoop Dee Doo, hosts a live show in New York City, on March 24th at the Abron Arts Center. In the “true variety show” style of Whoop Dee Doo, the collaborative performance arts event included students, Japanese folk dancing, a traditional Tuvan throat singer, and others to create a one of a kind, all-ages performance piece. Through her work with Whoop Dee Doo, Jaimie Warren engages with people in the community using creative collaboration in order to break social and cultural barriers and encourage meaningful interactions between unlikely partners. Warren’s work includes photography, film and performance pieces.
