Winner of the 2014 Baum Award for an Emerging American Photographer, Jaimie Warren was featured in Prison Photography as a rising figure in the photography community, highlighting her “wacky” style of image-making and strong foundation of community collaboration. Author Pete Brook commends Warren for her work with non-profit Whoop Dee Doo as a community arts initiative that tailors its art and performances to fit the needs of host communities. Brook also gives credit to the Baum Award for selecting Warren as the 2014 Baum Award recipient specifically for her unusual aesthetic and history of community involvement.
