BELLA GAIA announced the release of their new Fulldome Planetarium Movie. Its feature premier included two live shows on Feb 27 at IMERSA – a leading immersive media conference held at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.
The 26 minute fulldome film has won the Macau International Film Festival award for best soundtrack and was one of the top three finalists in the Science Media Awards in Boston. Content from BELLA GAIA’s original theater performances has been adapted for the fulldome experience with panoramic and immersive scenes from around the world. Imagery from ancient Egyptian tombs, Indian rituals, cherry blossoms, Tokyo, and New York City is combined with data visualization from NASA as BELLA GAIA creates a multisensory exploration of the relationships between human civilization and our ecosystem.
BELLA GAIA has been a program of The Baum Foundation since 2009. Throughout this time the BELLA GAIA has traveled the world delivering an evolving performance that is both inspiring and enlightening.
