Room to Breathe, a film by Russell Long, documents the transformation of a classroom community in a San Francisco public middle school, where students struggle with authority and personal achievement, as they are presented with a new tool that could change their lives—mindfulness. “I made this film to help kids in school and in their everyday lives,” says Long. By highlighting the work of Oakland-based nonprofit Mindfulness Schools, Room to Breathe shines hope on public education and the future of our children.
