Addressing Climate Change – National 2008
Since 2007, The Baum Foundation served as a member of the Advisory Committee for the Presidential Climate Action Project (PCAP) and provided grants, which has developed a bold, comprehensive, non-partisan plan for presidential leadership rooted in climate science and designed to ignite innovation at every level of the American economy.
Applying its experience in environmental conservation and with program leaders, The Baum Foundation is among a group of outstanding innovators and experts who have crafted a broad menu of climate action recommendations. The plan focuses on using climate action as an engine for new industries and jobs, as a way forward on the issue of reducing dependence on foreign oil, and as the springboard for a public-private partnership that will create a safe, prosperous and healthy future.
